Because retiring would just be too easy right now, Jay-Z announced last week that he will be headlining and curating the two day Made in America Festival in Philadelphia’s Fairmount Park on September 1st and 2nd.
The festival will include Jay and Pearl Jam as headliners as well as performances by Odd Future, Miike Snow, Afrojack, D’Angelo, Calvin Harris, The Knocks, Maybach Music, Passion Pit and The Dirty Projectors. Drake, Santigold and Skrillex are rumored to be joining soon as well. This will either be bad news for Seattle’s Bumbershoot Festival, or we are going to have some seriously jet lagged bands performing that weekend.
The entire lineup is expected to be released shortly.
Tickets go on sale Wednesday through Live Nation and portions of the proceeds from the festival will go to benefiting Philly’s United Way.
