The 10 covers, 10 years, in 10 days project Tokyo Police Club is creating keeps running along smoothly with plenty of surprises. Grab the first five songs here and here, and look below for four more, covers of M83, LCD Soundsystem, Phoenix, and Harlem Shakes:

Truly my favorite obscure indie band was the Harlem Shakes. I first saw them open for Vampire Weekend and then again for Tokyo Police Club in 2009 and fell head over sneakers in love. Sadly they broke up once the tour ended. They did leave this world a killer EP, Burning Birthdays, and an even better debut LP in 2009 called Technicolor Health. We’re steaming the album below if you’ve never had the chance to listen. It’s 40 minutes of pure indie pop bliss and you’ll be sad afterwards knowing there won’t be any new Harlem Shakes songs.
