Bright Eyes Cover The White Stripes “We’re Going To Be Friends”

The Gift Horse Project with Manimal Vinyl Records have created Cool for School: For the Benefit of the Lunchbox Fund, a collection of indie superstars who have recorded school themed cover songs. Conor Oberst’s Bright Eyes take one of our favorite White Stripes songs “We’re Going To Be Friends” and gets it right, with help from Swedish folk duo First Aid Kit. The Lunchbox Fund will get most of the proceeds and they provide meals to hungry kids in African high schools. Below listen to the song and view the star-studded tracklist.
