Gotye – “Eyes Wide Open” (Yeasayer & Tanlines Remixes)

Like most other hip and trendy artists, Gotye will be curating a remix EP. This new Yeasayer remix of “Eyes Wide Open” will be released on said remix EP out August 21st. “Eyes Wide Open” first appeared on Gotye’s uber-popular recent album Making Mirrors, which included “Somebody That I Used To Know” and 12 other songs that weren’t “Somebody That I Used To Know”.

Yeasayer gives “Eyes Wide Open” a more electro feel than the original. The Brooklyn rock gods just released a new album, Fragrant World, that can be streamed here.

UPDATED 8/15/12: Here’s another cut off that remix album courtesy of Tanlines and oooh you gotta love those balmy tropical vibes. If I could only pick one on my deserted island, I’m taking this over Yeasayer’s version.
