New rap is never a bad thing, and newcomer Goody offers food for your ears. Goody’s “All I Know” comes out of Chicago, but does not have the “Drill” sound that has been very popular recently. Instead, he opts for smooth beat that incites a tranquility and gently invites the listener into his world. This is opposed to the mainstream sound that thrusts one into a scene of aggressive rhyme schemes and subject matter. For me, this is all good when it comes to working out, but when I want to listen to something chronicling the same struggles and triumphs, I can turn to “All I Know”.

I recently graduated from Goucher College in Towson, MD with a BA in Business. My dad was a DJ, so I literally grew up around music. I like a lot of different types of genres, but my favorite might be a close race between rap/hip hop and trance. Music has always been a common thread that holds people of different backgrounds together, and I love exploring it.
