What’s Poppin Vol 1 Featuring J. Cole & Childish Gambino Collaboration
We didn’t think it could get much better on this day with tons of music to choose from, but this is the highlight of our day for sure. We finally get some new Childish Gambino (who just signed to Glassnote records) in the form of a stellar, quotable verse on the J Cole produced and assisted track “Who Datt Part 2” (here’s the first Who Dat). It’s very current with a reference to CG being “louder than Lil Wayne‘s pants at the VMAs.” This is all thanks to host of Hot 97 New York morning show Peter Rosenberg:
I got together with the good people at Popchips to create a mixtape/album that I am very proud of. It features original performances from some of the best in the game and original production from some of my favorite producers. With so much BS out there — sometimes it’s hard to find what’s really poppin. Well I did the work for you. Enjoy.
