Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) & Preservation Release “The REcstatic”

While I have been ghost for a while, it isn’t because I’m too lazy to write. I’ve just genuinely been uninspired by whats happening in hip hop.. until today. Yasiin Bey (Mos Def) and his tour DJ released a remix album to Mos’s 2009 solo album “The Ecstatic” titled “The REcstatic”. What started out as a few live performance add-ins and organic “happenings” became a personal challenge for Pres to remake the entire album.

While I really don’t care for most remixes, Preservation did a great job preserving (no pun intended) the vibe that you would expect form a Mos Def album. Its almost like it was meant to be heard this way. PLUS, its a free download! You really can not go wrong with lighting one up and vibin’ to “The Recstatic”. Enjoy bitches!
